Patrons unable to access library record or databases off campus and are getting the message "Sorry, your code is not unique."

It can be that an Employee has both a student record (if taking courses) and an employee record each with the same Patron ID number. Refer them to the circulation desk.
Thanks,
Gretchen

Blackboard problems

We are still experiencing some technical difficulties with the Blackboard (WebCT) application. We’ve taken many corrective steps to address the instability of this software. Extensive tuning of the application has resulted in the software remaining functional for longer periods of time. However, we’re still experiencing difficulties early in the morning, around noon or around 4:00 PM. When Blackboard (WebCT) services become unavailable, we are able to restart them within one hour.
We recognize that this is only a temporary fix and want you to know that the software vendor (Blackboard) is actively working on a permanent solution as many other higher education institutions are currently affected by the same problem.
A similar announcement for students will follow in myDouglas.
If you have any questions about this outage, please feel free to contact the Help Desk at extension 5330.
