Community Borrower Policy Changes

1. Effective immediately: a public library card is no longer required for applying for a community borrower's card. Instead, a photo ID (such as a driver's license, passport or BC ID) is required.
2. Effective on May 1, 2006: max number of items that can be signed out by community borrowers is reduced from 10 to 5. This is in response to the increase in demand of our collection by our students and faculty. CBs who obtain a card ON or AFTER May 1 are entitled to borrow up to 5 items max.
CBs who obtain a card BEFORE May 1 are still entitled to borrow up to 10 items until their cards expire. A note of this will be placed in their records.
3. Also starting on May 1, videos and DVDs are restricted to in-library use only for community and reciprocal borrowers.
Thanks to your attention to these changes in our loan policies. Please let me know if you have any questions.
